Such a range of emotions! Love being the main one. Made me want to cry and laugh! Keep writing books! 😍
I got to read and review this book and I was very impressed with the how the author told the store from the daughter point of view. It is a great read when you need a good romance story. This review is 100% my own. #sponsored.
This is quite the interesting read. If you're a fan of romance, this is definitely right up your alley. Diana has a good sense about her, but the thrill of a new man, and a fascinating new world triggers an interesting story. This his more than just a romance, it's a tightly wound tale of love, loss, and remorse. I found it fascinating, especially the turns that I didn't see coming. This has a good foundation, and leads down an interesting path, if you give it time. I recommend it.
This story really tugged at my heart. Diana grew up wishing for the same true, deep love that her parents shared. When her mother's accidental death shatters her father's heart, she works hard to keep him out of trouble from drinking and gambling too much. She first meets Massimo when she finds out that she was part of the repayment of her father's latest loss. What she doesn't realize is that she has more determination to fight for her freedom and find the true love that she has always longed for. Everyone has a secret of their own and the truth may surprise you.
Diana spent her life caring for her father after she lost her mother at the age of 12. The father whos grief was so heavy he turned to a life of gambling with a bet too big for him. Diana is forced to repay her fathers debt, and finds love doing so. This is a well written romance novel with a twist. It's an easy read and can be finished in a weekend, or a day if you're a very quick reader. You learn enough about the characters to form a bond and become invested in their stories... and their budding love. You feel for them in their losses, you worry for them in their turmoils. If you like contemprary romance novels, this book is for you. *i received this book in exchange for an honest review. Opinions are 100% my own.
This story had every element a good story should have. An exciting plot, attention to detail, but best of all fleshed out, well-written and well-rounded character development. There’s an abundance of well illustrated scenes that really make you feel like you are right there in the story, and that's something I really look for in a good book.

This absorbing and attention-grabbing work had me engaged from the beginning. The story flows from scene to scene effortlessly, and the author shows exceptional ability when it comes to storytelling.

It’s one of those rare stories that come along that makes you want to read it non-stop until you get to the end. I’m giving nothing away here. And this, I hope, will only add to the mystery!

I’ll certainly be looking forward to reading more from Nathasha Perets in the future! 5 Stars from me.
After losing her mother at a young age, Diana Brown has spent her life caring for her father, whose grief leads him down a path of gambling. When her father loses in a poker game and must pay to Massimo Molinero, Diana is forced to go live and work for Massimo to pay her father's debt. Massimo's quest for revenge over the death of his nephew Francesco leads him to humiliating Diana and making her life suffer. As time passes, the two start to fall in love. Diana is convinced that underneath Massimo's tough exterior is a man who can love. Meanwhile, Massimo begins to let his guard down and his love for Diana overtakes his quest for revenge.

Diana and Massimo are two characters who experience a great loss in their lives, she with her mother and him with his nephew. Reading about their inner struggles as they dealt with their grief drew me into their characters. Right from the start, I felt for Diana in what she dealt with losing her mother at a young age, then having to take care of her father. As for Massimo, throughout the story he opens up about his family and how his nephew Francesco was the most important person in his life. I loved the times where Massimo shows his sensitive side, however a majority of the story consisted of him being a mean person and whenever he acted that way I wanted to slap him.

There is a plot twist towards the end of the book, where it's revealed what caused Francesco's death. To me, I was able to figure it out and while it was predicable, I thought it was a good way to bring closure to the family. As for the ending, it was okay although the last chapter was too short and could've been expanded more.

Overall, it's a good story and I think the author has a great career ahead of her writing romance.
